windowmaker is a great WM for servers, but might not be great for often-used computers...
I use enlightenment, because I like the menus, and it's pretty :)

Other than that.. I use fvwm-crystal (which is a theme for fvwm with transparency), it's not bad.

Now that I'm getting settled into xfce4, I was just wondering: is there any way to make the panel transparent?

I put a movie of it up...

Raster has the tarball in his files section ..... though it cannot manage windows properly yet ;)

Openbox for me has been fluxbox without tabs (never needed em anyway), the slit (my taskbar of choice is perlpanel), and the huge memory footprint.

A window manager shouldn't need tabs, Am I right?

Also OB3 is lighter than most *box WM's and is not based on blackbox code like all the others.

Just try it out. If you don't like it. That's cool.

Yep...that's part of why I like xfce. The devs refuse to impliment anything that they think should be the responsibility of the application itself.

I think he was talking about an X server--server running X over a network so that other computers connected to it can access X on that server like terminals..
