Hi all. I am now trying out the unstable tree (using ~x86), and have gotten to abiword. It is not wanting to build, giving these errors:
[code]/usr/include/sys/ipc.h:25: warning: #warning "Files using this header must be compiled with _SVID_SOURCE or _XOPEN_SOURCE"
In file included from ut_PerlBindings.h:6,
from ut_PerlBindings.cpp:7:

I had abiword-1.0.4_pre1-r1 installed, and working fine, so I don't know what's up with this.... _________________ * Theoretic Solutions "The Internet's Open Think-Tank" - http://www.theoretic.com |

obviously it's Perl related, though dunno how...
use 1.0.4_pre1-r1 instead, it has Perl scripting disabled, viz ebuild... |

Same here... I'm downgrading to perl-5.6.1-r10 to see if that if that solves the problem
emerge -u =sys-devl/perl/perl-5.6.1-r10
I'll let you know if it works |

Yep... it's perl 5.8 that's breaking it.
so evecure that command before trying to emerge abiword.. I'll try and pass this off hte the people in the know.
So summary...
emerge -u =sys-devl/perl/perl-5.6.1-r10
Before emerge abiword
But abiword crashes on exit :( |
