|
|
hi, folks:
I use gentoo 1.4_rc1 with gentoo-source 2.4.19_r10, and trend to trunk two ethernet card (eepro100) eth0, eth1 to bond0.
After reading Documentation/networking/bonding.txt, i recompile my kernel and make sure bouding is built. As i reboot, i find eth0, eth1 and bond0 via ifconfig -a. Here i find some problems. One is i can't find /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts. good, perhaps means /etc/conf.d/net in gentoo. second, when i execute "ifconfig bond0 addr", my pc seems to halt? Of cource, i have exected "ifenslave bond0 eth0 eth1" yet.
How to trunk in gentoo? or some mistakes i made? Thank for your help.. |

by "ifconfig bond0 addr" they mean use an ip in place of "addr"
it's tricky to get bonding to work sometimes, make sure you read that stuff ind Documentation/networking/bonding.txt carefully. |
