Does using the -march= athlon-tbird -03 -pipe actaully break kdemulimedia? If so how do I correct it without a unmerge /remerge of all programs already installed?

If you think it does, just change the flags, rebuild kdemultimedia and then change them back. There is no need to have all programs compiled with exactly the same flags.

I don't know if there is a problem with kdemultimedia, but you could always try O2 instead of O3.

I dont know if it does or not I heard from a few that it does and was just confirming before I went and set it up then had to redo it I hate doing things twice.
