Impact of open sourcing solaris?

If Sun actually follows through with thier plans to open up the solaris source sometime around january, what do people think this is going to do for us?

potential of better hardware support?
potential of actually making linux go on US-III cpus?
potential of better solaris UFS file system support?
potential of other stuff?
