I have a problem with the virtual use flags in the ebiulds.
I found that when I do an emerge -u world i get the following error :
Quote: | Calculating world dependencies |
!!! Error: Couldn't find match for virtual/opengl in media-sound/xmms-1.2.7-r6 |
But if I do emerge xmms everything works fine, no problems with the virtual/opengl dependency.... strange...
For some reason the error only occurs with an update world.
My /etc/make.profile/virtuals file looks ok, it contains the line :
Quote: | virtual/opengl x11-base/xfree |
I am using portage-1.9.13

check the file /var/cache/edb/virtuals for your virtual. _________________ "Remember there's a big difference between kneeling down and bending over.", Frank Zappa |

/var/cache/edb/virtuals contains virtual/opengl media-libs/mesa x11-base/xfree
This looks fine to me... |

Any solution? I just now emerge rsync'd and emerge --update -p world gives the same error on xmms, just a higher r number. _________________ ---

After I did a 'emerge -e portage', and everything worked fine again.
The -e is for --emtytree, it will emerge portage and all of it's dependencies.
good luck !
