Ok here is the problem I setup gentoo (again), everything looks good.
Only one problem
I get this error
dhcpcd[1867]; dhcpStart: ioctl SIOCGIFHWADDR: No such device
What am I doing wrong?? I compiled my ethernet card into the kernel (kernel proper, not as a module) but still no dice. Please help.
Thanks |

Hi,
Are you sure that you compiled the right ethernet card?
Check it:
I've got:
#dmesg |grep eth0
eth0: RealTek RTL-8029 found at 0xb000, IRQ 10, 00:E0:7D:84:A3:C0.
Your /etc/conf.d/net must have something like this:
iface_eth0="dhcp"
All the best, |
