The emerge of Gaim only has the standard AIM/ICQ installed. Are the plugins for the other IM services available via emerge? |

I'm using the gaim-0.59.6 ebuild, and it installed protocol plugins for irc, jabber, msn, napster, yahoo, zephyr, and icq in /usr/lib/gaim. If you install gentoolkit, it can tell you what files are in a given ebuild - if an ebuild seems to be missing something, use 'qpkg -l <ebuild name>' to get a list of the files it contains, the missing files are probably just in an unexpected location. |

All those other plugins are installed, but you have to load them into gaim first. Under one of the menus there is a "Plugins" option. Go there and you'll see all the plugins available. Select the protocol you need to and load it. Then you'll be able to add accounts for that protocol. |
