May be a bit elementary, but can you see libflashplayer.so when you do Help/About Plugins in your browser (Mozilla?)? |

I also have the same problem. I have netscape-flash 6.0.69-r1 and kde 3.0.4-r3 installed, and Flash just comes up as an empty gray box in konqueror. However, Flash works fine in Mozilla (mozilla 1.0.1-r3). Both used to work fine.
Although it's difficult to tell exactly what has changed, since I don't usually pay particular attention to Flash, I have re-emerged quite a bit of my system recently in an effort to fix a different problem. This includes re-emerging KDE and Mozilla. I also think that Qt got updated somewhere along the way, since the redhat-artwork package stopped building for me.
I have tried re-emerging kdebase and openmotif, as suggested elsewhere in these forums, but that didn't work.
Any help is greatly appreciated. |

I've emerged netscape flash player and got a /opt/netscape/plugins/ directory and the libflashplayer.so etc however I only have Konqueror installed. In the past Konquerer had no problems using netscape plugins, just scan and install via Konq. I didn't have a problem with Flash Player 5. In konqueror I've tried browsing to the /opt/....folder, scanning and installing, konq shows 'netscape plugins' in the list but not the individual plugins as it did with Flash 5. I also can't delete the 'netscape' entry either to try again.
Any ideas? |
