So, playing around (in vmware, as a trial for a real system) evms during the install (including evms root).
I made a total of four virtual drives, and fired up evmsn.
Then I proceeded to use drive segments to cut them up into a whole collection of pieces.
I want a total of one raid-5, one raid-1 (on two drives) and one raid-0 (on the other two drives)
So I proceded to use storage regions to make a raid-5, a raid-1, and the raid-0.
So far, so good.
I actually want to mount the raid-5 in two seperate places, and so made an LVM on it. (As I remember from lvm, it's easy to make two mountable points from one lvm). For consistency, (and because I'm just playing around) I made LVMs on the other raids as well.
Now, I want to split the raid-5 lvm up into two pieces, and make evms logical volumes out of them.
(and make evms logical volumes out of the other lvms, too)
But I can't find out how to take the final step...
Anybody know how to do this?
