Im trying to load my newly installed alsa driver but it fails.
The reason is simple, when i do a modprobe -c, here is what it gives at the end of the output:
Code: |
modprobe -c
...
# Miscellaneous file and directory names
generic_stringfile=/lib/modules/2.4.19-gentoo-r9/modules.generic_string
pcimapfile=/lib/modules/2.4.19-gentoo-r9/modules.pcimap
isapnpmapfile=/lib/modules/2.4.19-gentoo-r9/modules.isapnpmap
usbmapfile=/lib/modules/2.4.19-gentoo-r9/modules.usbmap
parportmapfile=/lib/modules/2.4.19-gentoo-r9/modules.parportmap

modprobe is using the wrong dirs, as my system runs with 2.4.19-gentoo-r10.
Why do i still have the /lib/modules/2.4.19-gentoo-r9 dir and how can i make modprobe understand that it has to use 2.4.19-gentoo-r10? |
