| Well, I finally got a menu for GRUB after symlinking grub.conf to menu.lst, but I don't get the proper picture. Anyone have any clue how to get the pic working? I followed the Gentoo Install Guide to the letter. |

typo in your grub.conf file perhaps? not sure - if you followed the guide to the letter, then it *should* work...

i think it was a typo on my part, but i have to wait for it to finish booting to check (having a kvm and multiple computers makes installing Gentoo a lot easier though).

it was a typo, i typed slpashimage instead of splashimage
