|
Hello all,
I have 2 hard disks on my ultra 5. (HDA & HDB)
HDA disk contain my linux from scratch ,
and on HDB disk I installed gentoo.
But I do not know how to configure silo to boot
gentoo from HDB.
Also am I unable to boot from HDB through openboot.
I find on www.sparc-boot.org some configuration
examples but they do not help me.
At the moment my silo.conf looks like this:
partition=1
read-only
image=/24219gr197
label=....
root=/dev/hda4
I guess I should insert there something like this:
other=/pci........
root=/dev/hdb3 (whole partition)
...
Can anybody tell me correct configuration?
Thank you |

From the Depth Dark Depths of my Brian (I switched to Grub awhile back) I remember that you need to insert something like the following lines into your lilo.conf
Code: | label=Gentoo
root=/dev/hdb3 |
Just don't forget to run lilo afterwards, otherwise it wont update it _________________ Admiral Trigger Happy
