|
|
Hey Everybody,
First off, Happy Thanksgiving....
Now to my problem, I have a laptop that I usually use at school at it works nicely, I brought it home for the holiday, and didn't plug it in to a network (we only have dialup at home...ya, kill me)...
So I boot up my laptop and it Code: | Failed to bring eth0 up | obviously, but then goes on to have Problems starting needed services with mysql, apache, and xinetd....
I can start apache Code: | apachectl start or /etx/init.d/apache start | without a problem, but php scripts do not execute when I look at them, instead I see the <?php ...... ?> all embedded nicely in the HTML...this is bad for development, does anybody have any ideas ?

I have noticed, that starting with #apache or #apachectl mixes
somewhow php_modules loading. But I have suceeded starting
with /etc/init.d/apache, and php works without net-connect. |

Ooops wrong forum...please move...
I tried /etc/init.d/apache....but no good
It tried to bring eth0 up twice, and then had the problem starting needed services again

Had the same problem with .php files displaying as text. Started apache via init.d and worked fine. How strange??

i know this was a while ago but just for the record. The reason it works with /etc/init.d/apache start is because it uses /etc/conf.d/apache which has -D php4 in the command line |
