gnome 2 beta5 gentoo ebuild is out here is the link

Here is a summury
1. edit /usr/portage/profiles/packages.mask
find " # this is now the gnome2 big bloated mask "
comment out everything below till " #beta, so masked for now. See also
bug 1662 "
2. now you cd /usr/portage/gnome-base/gnome
3. now emerge gnome-2.0.0_beta5.ebuild
oh its alot |

i was getting that libglade-convert error, but i fixed that. now i'm having dependency preoblems.

okay,
I dont read the forums often, I'm more mailinglist oriented person, but please, report things as this to me ( anyone of you, nothing personal) and I can fix them.
also, gnome2 bugs should be assigned to spider @ gentoo.org

it was on http://www.gentoo.org/~spider/gnome2/
python has to be built with expat support. |
