Hi,
I had -oggvorbis in my make.conf. Now, I have changed it into oggvorbis. How can I make my players accept and play ogg files? I tried to unmerge and re-emerge gqmpeg (my player) but it seems that this is not enough to be done...
Thank You |

Looking at the ebuild shows the it doesn't use the oggvorbis flag. It prob just uses ogg123 as a backend, so just make sure you have the ogg stuff installed. |

But how do I do that? That's what I need to know... emerge -s ogg123 = { }
Thank You! |

For starters you will need to emerge libogg, libvorbis and possibly vorbis-tools.
should emerge both libogg and libvorbis. |

Thanks, especially to kipper:
emerge vorbis-tools finally built the desired ogg123 file! |

Hey f.kater, I like the empty set notation
emerge -s ogg123 = { }
Very precise meaning you wrote there; we need more mathematical notation on this forum!! _________________ -Phil Crosby |
