During the Japanese Internet Week (16-20 December) at the Yokohama Pacifico hotel and conference centre, the Japan Unix Society is organising their annual BSD/Linux day on 18 December 2002. On the agenda: a panel discussion about pros and cons of Linux and Unix application packaging systems (Debian's dpkg, Red Hat's rpm, FreeBSD's ports and Gentoo's portage). One of Gentoo's prime activists in Japan, Masatomo Nakano, will step into the ring for portage: Check the conference programme here (link is Japanese only) |

Nakano-san, gambatte kudasai. If you have a forum account (or even lurk here read-only), feel free to email me for any help I can provide. Hopefully we will have support for other character sets here on the forums soon. EDIT: OTG to Gentoo Chat. _________________ For every higher wall, there is a taller ladder |

Good to know... I wonder what the results will be, but I think everyone in here thinks gentoo is the best so I don't think we should have the replies on this thread count :p _________________ Grtz,
