Installed phoenix-bin-0.4-r2.ebuild, and fonts looked horrible. Turns out that unix.js had "unhinted" set to true... why is this? At least on my system, this makes Sans Serif fonts look horrible.

I think this question is best answeered by the Phoenix development team 
You will always have to change the unix.js file after upgrading your Phoenix browser. I guess this is seen as a feature, not a bug
