Hi,
I been trying to do an "emerge -u world/sytem" but it keeps failing at this particular package (xmms):
patching file xmms/about.c
* Working directory: /var/tmp/portage/xmms-1.2.7-r15/work/xmms-1.2.7...
* Applying libtool-test.patch...
* Applying libtool-relink.patch...
* Applying libtool-tmp.patch...
* Applying libtool-portage.patch...

Makefile.am: required file `../depcomp' not found
!!! ERROR: media-sound/xmms-1.2.7-r15 failed.
!!! Function src_unpack, Line 3263, Exitcode 1
!!! (no error message)

something that could help:
unmerge xmms
emerge -u world
emerge xmms
did it help ? |

Nope, I removed the version I had, but I can't install any version now.
Fails on the same thing each time, so it must be something that is broken?

seems that depcomp thing comes from automake, re-emerge that..
also please do not forget to post a bug report at bugs.gentoo.org, there are people with more knowlegde ;] |
