When I launch a program in gnome it doesn't show up on the taskbar. The only solution i've been able to come up with is to delete my .gnome* files. It works fine until I logout and back in. I don't want to do this each and everytime. Anyone know a quick fix? I've tried deleting the taskbar on the bottom and recreating it with no luck.
thanks |

I had the a similar problem, and I noticed that by default the task list isn't large enough to display anything (on my system at least). Check this out:
- Right click on the task list «handle»
- Go to preferences
- In the «Window List Size» section, make sure «Maximum size» is not at zero, or another small value. Mine is at 1090 now, but it was at zero on startup, so it seemed nothing was appearing.
Hope this helps! |
