I have been awaiting the release of k3b 0.7.5 for gentoo as it fixes an error that i receive when trying to burn any type of cd ...
the k3b website specifies in the changelog that the newest version 0.7.5 fixes this error .. (error: 255) ...
so i tried to emerge k3b today and got the error below ..

Maybe a symlink could help out 
ln -s /usr/lib/gcc-lib/i686-pc-linux-gnu/3.2/ libstdc++.??? /usr/lib/gcc-lib/i686-pc-linux-gnu/3.2/ libstdc++.la |

Hi .. i figured the problem out .. i performed the following ..
| Code: | # cd /usr/portage/sys-devel/gcc/files
# ./fix_libtool_files.sh gcc 2.1 |
took care of that .. but i cant burn yet because the burn proccess freezes my machine completely ..
so i guess i am off to look for another reliable cd burning app .. 
any suggestions are appreciated .. |

Well, they all suck IMO, but I think gcombust sucks less than most. |

K3b is a great burning program(better then any other one out there), but since k3b 0.7.2 till 0.7.5 there are alot of bugs(error 255 in my case).
But keep in mind that k3b is still a beta so its normal that it has bugs in it. |

| error 255 has been corrected with version 0.7.5 .. as it corrected my problem, but freezes my system .. |
