I just tried to mount a DVD image via the loopback device, and my kernel oopses. This doesn't happen on 2.6.7-r11

Could this have something to do with the barrier patches?

It said something like: "modules linked, udf, iso9660, nvidia"

Could anyone confirm this, or am I just doing somthing horribly wrong?

Just a report on this love

vesatng causes my framebuffer to display the last contents of my screen before reboot (in a corrupted way) so still back to vesa-rcc (thanks for the patch btw). after recompiling with vesa-rcc I start kde I get a hard lock, and reset is the only option (this also happend with the last love) back to 2.6.4-love4 (the last working love for me  ) I think that the hard lock has something to do with the sound on the system (I am using EMU10K1 provided by alsa in kernel). I suspect this because after my reboot knotify tells me that arts failed to load correctly last time.

I am using NVIDIA, 8k stacks, PREEMPT, SMP

No bootsplash love for me either. Not even after coming to the login prompt. Framebuffer runs without a hitch however. Bootsplash works in 2.6.6-rc3-love3 but I don't want to roll back that far. Otherwise, another fantastic Love-sources!

After extensive testing I've found that MM-2.6.7 won't boot either. With love eight I sucessfully boot the first time but when I reboot I get the panic. I left out every schedualer but CFQ so I'll try leaving them all in. The banic begins after the schedualer is announced and right after hda:blah blah---. The panic message mentions via and ide quite a bit so I'll compile with the generic only this time.

smp might have been your problem - try disabling it.
