ok well ive been using enlightenment for a bit, and have a few little questions concerning, mostly, eyecandy, so here goes:)

1- is there a way to get transparant menus?(the user menus, kinda like kde was able to get, basically)

2-is there a way to have a diff background image for each SCREEN and not desktop? i could always create more desktops, but then wouldnt be able to use the borders to move around

3-when i first emerge enlightenment, the default pager(with 2 desktops that had 4 v-screens) would kinda fold onto itself when i rightclicked on it...so basically it showed only one desktop, and the rightclick would make it swap around to the second...after a while of changing stuff around, that feature disappeared, and id like it back. at first i thought it was a theme thing, but after trying all themes i had installed, i couldnt get it back...using the cyrus one at the mo. any ideas?

thanks in advance

I beleive the theme would have implement the transparent menus. Perhaps this theme could be tweaked to provide transparent menus?

I believe you cannot do this AFAIK. Enlightenment is getting old hat now ;) But then E17 is still in development slowly and I believe that rasterman wants the basic of E17 out the door in order to complete other projects. (Or so that I believe)

i remember i once tried to get a transparent menu background, but it didn't work. the background is a simple image and doesnt support transparencies, like for example the window border images...

enlighenment 16 is what i still use today, but it does show its age ;-)

e17 has some really cool features and ideas, but when i looked at it in september it was far from being usable on a day-to-day basis. sadly...

Download the theme and try it. The title bars are transparent. It gets a little annoying because if you click any where on the title bar execpt on the actual title it's like your clicking on the background. Notice the comment on the page, 'Cronos is a nice transparent theme'

if memory serves, the pager is very theme dependant. so, where you have to right click (or middle click - whatever it is) on the pager varies from theme to theme. make sure you have the border style on the pager set to either 'pager' or 'right pager'.

hope that helps ---
