Evolution crashes when attaching a file or receiving a file

I had the problem above. When I traced the evolution-mail process
I saw that it crashed while processing /etc/gnome-vfs-mime-magic.

In the URL below you can find a working gnome-vfs-mime-magic file.
Before using this file, first make a backup of your original gnome-vfs-mime-magic file.

but now i got another problem with evolution.

starting evolution i got an errormessage like that !
"** WARNING **: Invalid UTF-8 sequence"

maybe thats the cause my evolution is crashing now permanently.

before i changed the mime file my evolution crashed only on attachements, now it crashes even i read a new message.

anybody out there who can help me?

Upgrade to Evolution 1.2.0 with the most recent version of gtkhml, soup and pilot-link. If that doesn't work then do a:

$ strace -f -v -t -o /tmp/evo_crash.txt evolution
(for this you need to emerge dev-util/strace)

and send the output, /tmp/evo_crash.txt, to the forum

recently i tried a lot,

but nothing would help ...

so i deinstalled evolution.
somewhere i found a link that means gtk2 is also possible for USE-variables, there would be no more problems with using gtk and gtk2 together.

I added gtk2 into my USE-Variables and reinstalled evolution.
The i copied the gnome mime files above.
my evolution is working fine now.

I love debugging in linux, remember u can't debug in windows

still have the same prob.. after some clicks evolution hangs

the hangs came after i click on my inbox
and some options miss text

backup your evolution directory in aour home dir ...
start evolution and try to get the error again.

if evolution works now fin u can copy your
cp ~/evolutionbackup/local/* ~/evolution/local/

don't forget 2 reconfigure your mail.
