Is the any harm in just deleting all the tarballs in distfiles? I know there is a nice script that was posted which will clean up redundant distfiles, but is there any harm (other than having to re-download them if you re-emerge a package) in just removing them alltogether? I can just imagine the gigs of disk space that are being wasted around the world holding local copies of these tarballs, including on my little 4GB laptop. This seems to me to be (part of) the reason we have centralised file repositories.
