i'm having the following problem on my notebook with ati m7 graphics,
everything works fine with a res of 1024x768, then i tried a multimonitor setup and the desktop on the monitor works fine with 1024 but on laptop display the screen is at 3 cm from left many times overlayed no icons displayed and i couldn't see the mouse cursor. i've tried the origianl config which was backuped but nothing helped also recompile of xserver doesnt work. i've seen this problem on redhat 7.3 a while ago and the i reinstalled it and it worked very well. but i don't want to reinstall gentoo
any ideas which config file the x11 server use because /etc/X11/XF86Config isn't the right one?! or any ideas how to solve this problem?
thx |
