|
|
OK, so now that I have vcr working, and I can record video into divx avi format. I want to edit them, and take out bits and pieces I don't need. Inside of Linux...what is the best way to do this?
I am using the following command to record...if it helps:
vcr -g /dev/video0 -c 'divx low-motion' -v -p "CH57 57" -F 30 -q 100 -m mono -b 64 -t 39m /misc/dexters1.avi
Thanks, for any help _________________ Darren Greer

|

OK...I have cinelerra emerged, and I can fire it up. But as soon as I try to "load" my .avi which is saved, it just crashes with no error messages. The file was recorded with the settings in my first pots.
Any thoughts? _________________ Darren Greer

Avidemux works beautifully. I could never get cinelerra to open the file, but avidemux did it in a matter of seconds, and withint 5 minutes, I had already trimmed it!

The executable is /usr/bin/avidemux or /usr/local/bin/avidemux.
There's an ebuild...
At the moment mean (the developer) includes ffmpeg-cvs and 2-pass-xvid-codec.
I'd suggest you try the 21-2.tgz snapshot. I'll post the new ebuild as soon as the new version is a release and compiles on my system.
Just have a look at bug #7973 from time to time. _________________ linux user 65882 |
