This is my third try and i really made sure to follow the directions very close.
SS20 512Mb Ram 2 Ross (single) 150s.
when i run the ...
# emerge system
in the portage tree compile, when it gets to the file pr.c its echoing
to stdout invalid char null ignoring or invalid char '`' [backtic] ignoring on every single line.
i started it last night at 2:00am and it was still going this morning at 7:00. My portage tarball i grabbed was pretty recent. like only a couple days old. any thoughts? similar experiences?

I successfully emerge coreutils on my sparc classic using a small fix I made.
The patch contains only a blank line to add at the end of pr.c file.
But I don't know if my correction is what real gentoo guru will do. |

I don't know what real gurus do, but the blank line or equivalent is what everyone else does. |
