perhaps off-topic, but is there anyone we beg and grovel toward if we want ebuilds / packages added to the portage tree?
using transcode 0.6.1 and the soon-to-be-ready-maybe dvd::rip 0.47, you can create .ogm-style avi's, with $mpeg4-codec + ogg audio. but you need ogmmerge from ogmtools for this. hence the request. |

I created ebuilds for all of those programs and submitted them to portage, but I've yet to get any feedback from the devs, so I suspended updates untill I get all my builds in portage or get a proper rejection.. |

until the ogmtools ebuild appears in portage you can always compile it yourself. That's what I did.
lovechild, hope your ebuilds get processed soon.
Cheers,
