Has anyone else noticed this? RC2 was fast, but RC3 just blows windows xp out of the water. Konqueror opens the first time in less than a second on a relatively slow laptop.

I don't know if it's just me or what, but it seems a lot faster. It also seems to take less time to load kde.

Where is info to install KDE 3.1rc3? I know that I've seen info on installing 3.1, but now that I'm looking for it, I can't seem to find anything. Thanks.

There's an ebuild in /usr/portage/kde-base/kde. I haven't tried it myself so proceed with caution.

As root:

$ emerge rsync

$ cd /usr/portage/kde-base/kde

$ emerge kde-3.1_rc3.ebuild

nspluginviewer seems to have always been unstable, it is with me anway. I have kde3_beta2 installd, and it has never worked for me. I recently got sick of it an switched to Mozilla, unfortunately this doesn't seem to integrate with external download managers, but at least I can view flash :lol:
