Anybody's ever had anyluck with that option in XF86Config?
I haven't
It's not working on my desktop ( bog standard uk keybord) nor my laptop.
any emacs/xemacs user know a trick to get CapsLock mapped to Ctrl?
lemme know.
My left wee finger is sore.... |

It works for me. Here's the relevant chunk of my XF86Config

Option "XkbOptions" "ctrl:swapcaps"

Is that what you have? If you can't get it to working, check out xmodmap, which lets you do the same thing. There's a web page somewhere with very explicit instructions. _________________ It's spelled Raymond Luxury-Yacht, but it's pronounced Throat-Warbler Mangrove. |

is what I have in my XF86/config...
xmodmap did it though!
