try running xvidtune in X and see if its at the correct resolution (look at the HDisplay and VDisplay). otherwise, you may need to set a Modeline (shouldnt need to do in X 4.x though) as your monitor may not be set up correctly.

Are there any errors in your XFree86.0.log file? (Check /var/log) An error will be a line prefixed by (EE).

I want a 2048x1536 res as I can get in Microshit .... does anybody know or has anybody "tweaked" a resolution like that?

secondly, my antialiasing doesn't appear to be working correctly in KDE 3.1 (or any other KDE... ) any suggestions?
