I had a cs course that used C++ in highschool that wasnt very object oriented based and am just finishing my first college cs course based in java that is very object oriented based. now i know that gtk's main language bindings are in C but i figured i'd be able to use my c++ skills to pick c up just fine. I'm gonna be on break pretty soon and i figured to stay productive i could try to learn to use gtk and was wondering if there is a good book i should buy. or maybe a good web resource out there. I'm aware of the gtk tuturial at gtk.org is that a good place to start? also if i need to settle for a gtk 1.2 book should i hold off on buying a book or just go ahead? i have no idea what the differences mean as a developer. thanks for any help |
