Hi there,
Evolution is driving me crazy (again). This time, I cannot make my regular user run evolution, although if I copy evolution directory (where the mails are) to other user, it works. It keeps crashing.
I tried to copy .gconf, .gconfd, .gnome without success. Anybody knows where Gnome stores the configurations so I can make my old user run evolution?
Thanks |

Quite explosive, but I had no choice |

have u try kde + kmail?
or if u want to stay under gnome, u can use sylpheed.
for config of evo, try .evolution in user home _________________ the more the things change, the more they stay the same.

Yes, I use KDE but evolution is quite superior to kmail (IMHO and when it works)

Hehhe you are running into the same problem as me.... I still can't figure it out but use the command : killev which kill all the process for evolution then run evolution. make sure you run killev as your user or you will have to kill it manually then re run killev with your user and then start evolution.
I wanted to wipe out evolution but i need html support damnit. |

No, I usually don't have to kill it manually. Now it is working OK (1.0.. I had problems with some Gnome configurations (LOCALES), but now I am using another LOCALE.
