Hello,
I am currently undergoing my own private hell trying to get ntp working, however, I have not exhausted all my resources, so my question is not about that. My question is (I assume) about init scripts.
When I run the ntpd init script, I get this weird error:
Quote: |
Code: |
root # /etc/init.d/ntpd stop
|
/sbin/runscript.sh: server: command not found
/sbin/runscript.sh: server: command not found
/sbin/runscript.sh: server: command not found
/sbin/runscript.sh: server: command not found
/sbin/runscript.sh: driftfile: command not found
* Stopping ntpd...
start-stop-daemon: warning: failed to kill 3731: No such process
* Failed to stop ntpd

I searched through that file, and sure enough, the word "server" does not appear even once there. I have not modified either that file or init.d/ntpd so, what gives? Is this important? |
