I emerged Mozilla into my new Gentoo system.
How do I access it?? How do I run the program? How do I create a menu shortcut? Icon?
I also emerged xpdf but Konqueror keeps asking me If I want to use KGhostView to view the file. Flash disappeared after I emerged it too. I am missing something big here. I read Portage User guide, Desktop guide, and searched these forums but found no help.
It's probably as plain as the nose on my face but I can't see it - HeLp!
Thanks! |

Well, you can try it out, by opening Konsole and type 'mozilla'
If you want a desktop Icon, do:
1. Right click on your desktop background.
2. Select 'Create New..', then 'Link to application...'
3. Type Mozilla in the box higligthed
4. Click on the Icon and select whatever icon you want to represent Mozilla
5. Then click on the 'Execute' tab and type mozilla in the box
6. Then click on 'Ok'
Now it's time to test it

This is not a problem either.
1. Start the control center, it's on your taskbar at the bottom of the screen.
2. Select 'KDE Components'
3. Select 'File Associations'
4. Click on 'Application' then select 'pdf'
5. You should see a box with 'Application preference order'
6. Click on 'Add' and add select xpdf as application, then remove ghostview' and click on 'Ok'
When it comes to flash, make sure that the files ShockwaveFlash.class and libflashplayer.so is in /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins. That's all!

Aren't we all bored at work?
I'm going to kill my sysadmin soon if he doesn't turn of NTLM on our exchange server. Imagine, I could sit in blackbox all day instead of windows nt. _________________ Hmm.. I worked around that little problem by getting vmware. Now I work in Gentoo/X all day, and just use a virtual 2000 session to connect to my $!@#$! exchange mail server. Of course, given the $200 price tag on vmware, that might not be an option.

well, 200$ is a bit much for my taste, since I'm a poor lad who waste way to much money at the pub instead of investing them _________________ Hmm..
