allright i have my storage drive on my ide channel number 3 which is my on board raid. i am not using it as raid, do i have to set up gentoo for raid or no _________________ Did you know that mentos comes in three different flavors? |

There should be a BIOS option somewhere to toggle between "regular" IDE and RAID IDE. Set it to regular and you shuold be fine.

it is an msi kt333 ultra, it only has ata raid disabled or enabled. disabled makes my hdd disappear. what i really want to know is if the settings for linux would be different if i was using the channel as ide or raid(and if there even is something that distinguishes between the two) _________________ Did you know that mentos comes in three different flavors? |
