ever since i moved over to the new rsync and emerged the new portage...
# emerge cvs

What is the value of your GENTOO_MIRRORS and SYNC variables in your /etc/make.conf? |

I am having the same error, on all of me ebuilds.
I really do not want to manually wget every package I need to build.
Any ideas?

i'm a newbie
copied over and edited /etc/._cfg0000_make.conf and /etc/._cfg0000_make.globals and we're all good now.
