Broadcom/D-Link DHN 520 Ethernet HPNA Driver?

Does Gentoo support this chipset?

Broadcom 4211 D-Link DHN 520 Ethernet Card (HPNA).

I tried alot of linux versions and none of them seemed to support this hardware, there is a driver around the internet somewhere but it wouldnt work on my current linux, the only thing that matters to me in an O/S that is NOT Windows is that it supports my hardware well, specialy this card, I really have no other options, its realy frustrating to not have access to your own hardware.

Please if not anything about gentoo, anything about ethernet installing!

Addiotnal Details:

I'm on Redhat 9, GCC 3. when i tried to compile the driver it says that the driver is compiled with GCC 2 and I'm trying GCC 3 and it wouldnt work.

the Kernel seems to fit, no problem there, but still.

the file is il.o

Gentoo is known to work with it?
