i f**cked up my system... trying to get some video player to work...
unfortunatelly emerge cant unemerge with dependancies... so somethings got deleted along the way... and now...
how do i rescue my last bit of work (it took so long to emerge gnome and install everything... )
how ??????????????

You'll possibly be interested in Using Gentoo CD to repair a broken system depending on how borked your system is. If you have dead packages that are on your system as a result of the official borking, you might want Automatically unemerging stale packages [].
