Hi there,

is there a way to lock the console while installing Gentoo? If not, such a feature would be very helpful since installing / compiling might take quite some time and I'd rather not have my entire family accidentally press ctrl-alt-del while my build is almost finished. Maybe it would be nice to have vlock on the standard install cd?

Keep up the good work!

i can see what you are saying (since i have a 1 1/2 year old), BUT it is more likely she will press the on/off switch then ctrl-alt-delete... Even if you lock the console, you can't lock the power button.

Well, it doesn't really matter anymore, since I've gone ahead and did the install anyway. But we have no on/off
switch-pressing little children here, so that wouldn't be my primary concern.
