Hi there,
is there a way to lock the console while installing Gentoo? If not, such a feature would be very helpful since installing / compiling might take quite some time and I'd rather not have my entire family accidentally press ctrl-alt-del while my build is almost finished. Maybe it would be nice to have vlock on the standard install cd?
Keep up the good work! |

i can see what you are saying (since i have a 1 1/2 year old), BUT it is more likely she will press the on/off switch then ctrl-alt-delete... Even if you lock the console, you can't lock the power button. _________________ Edward Alfert

Well, it doesn't really matter anymore, since I've gone ahead and did the install anyway. But we have no on/off
switch-pressing little children here, so that wouldn't be my primary concern. |
