UT2003 Retail 3CD's How do I install?

a friend of mine has UT2003.. its 3cd's will that install natively under linux? or do I need some kind of Linux installer?

The CD numbers and what the installer asks for are whacked out. So know that before starting.

Here is what I did to install the game.

1. Copy linux_installer.sh from CD3 to your harddrive. (this is not 100% necessary but I prefer it this way)
2. export SETUP_CDROM=/mnt/cdrom
3. As root run the installer #sh linux_installer.sh
4. When asked for the play disk it is cd1
5. When asked for disc 1 it is cd2
6. When asked for disk 2 it is cd3

The install is a little buggy. You may need to restart it a second time. The gui sometimes craps out, but the game continues to install in the console you started it in.

I get better Frames per second in Linux, and overall the game is faster. In windows I get horrible slowdowns. It speeds up if I switch to opengl in windows but why bother when it plays so much better in linux

I average 45 fps in linux (now after loads of tweaks including enabling fast write and SBA

In windows I average just 30 fps with major slowdowns.

I run the game in 1280x1024 with all graphical settings to normal. If I set them to high My FPS drops to 20-25. Playable, but a little stuttery.
