Nothing official from OneofOne or Steel300, but it's on the main mirrors.

http://www.public.iastate.edu/~jpcox

Just waiting for it to compile here, but I can see that reiser4 is in, win4lin is in, don't know if it will compile cleanly or not yet though.

EDIT: bootsplash is messed up, but win4lin compiles fine, nvidia is okay.

Could somebody say what has changed except the update to mm4?
Are VM settings back?

(Currently using love4, just switched to Reiser4.
CFQ + Nick's patch = great (tested), but with Reiser4 = hyper)

I'm compiling as I type...

It failed for me on ext3 with the following:

Code:
fs/ext3/balloc.c: In function `ext3_should_retry_alloc':
fs/ext3/balloc.c:1001: error: structure has no member named `journal_info'
make[2]: *** [fs/ext3/balloc.o] Error 1
make[1]: *** [fs/ext3] Error 2

I just removed ext3 and it seemed to compile. I will post again when I reboot. (Hopefully my Nvidia will work with this one...)

UPDATE
Installed fine. Got Nvidia working with 5336-r2 instead of 5336-r3. Steam under WineX worked fine. Bootsplash worked like a charm. Time will tell if UT2004 is stable under this. I personally haven't found a stable Love since 2.6.6-rc3-love4.

Okay, well, despite all, I don't recommend that anyone switches to this love. Supermount works, sort of, but it borks with winex. Bootsplash is borked, nvidia works, win4lin works, reiser4 is there, don't know if it works though, and ext3 is borked, so, unless you really, really need win4lin, don't switch.

Do you know if mouse side buttons work? That's my one annoyance with love4, I love reiser4 but not having side buttons is annoying...

Can't help you there, I don't use reiser4.

No, reiser4 is fine in love4, it's the side buttons that don't work (there's been a problem with them for quite some time, working then not working).

Works for me. Just had to re-emerge nvidia-glx and nvidia-kernel, along with linux-wlan-ng for my wireless. Bootsplash, and nvidia work great. Can we "Enable 4KStacks" yet? or do we have to wait for an nVidia fix to be released?

Bootsplash works fine on your end? Weird.... Mine doesn't work, but then as soon as the system "Setting console bootsplash" goes, it sort of works. 4k stacks will not work with nvidia, it is a problem on nvidia's end AFAIK, and if it is ever fixed, I have no idea.

And what would be the point of that? That would slow down the releases!

Reminds me of an Anime Fansubtitling group called 'AnimeJunkies'. They were ALWAYS the first ones to release a subtitled episode. But in return, you got weird phrases like 'Are you aware of the frequent occurences of Mass Naked Child Events in this country?'

In short, learn from the past.

Test before releasing.

It'd be like Linus adding a 'UNLOCK TEH MEGAHURTZZZ OMG' patch to the kernel sources.

Note that the maintainers of love-sources never announced the release of love5.

ext3 works. neenee pointed out on the other love-sources thread.

the real fix would be:

Code:

nano +1001 fs/ext3/balloc.c
replace 'journal_info' with 'fs_context'

enjoy

My root and /home are both ext3, and that fix works for me.

hmmmmm, anyone else having reiser4 probs with this release....?
i get a kernel panic at boot telling me reiser4 support for small keys is needed... so i think, damn, did i put that option off...? but i didn't, it still was large keys in menuconfig... i even tried setting this to small keys, but got the same problem...
on 2 other machines of me, i don't have this problem with love5.. i even deleted the whole sources, make a fully new .config, but every time the same kernel panic.. :?

edit: just thought of something -> those 2 other machines are still reiser3.. :)) i definitely need some sleep... :)
so anyone else using reiser4 with love5?

I seem to be getting an error while creating a digest for this last ebuild
Code:

ebuild digest love-sources-2.6.6-r5.ebuild
!!! Name Error in : missing a version or name part.
!!! Error: PF is null ''; exiting

What could cause this??? i checked the file and it looks ok to me :?
[edit]
Corrected the typo, but that dont cause it
[/edit]

Nevermind..... stupid syntax. The solving of the problem was simply done by:
Code:

ebuild love-sources-2.6.6-r5.ebuild digest

So put the digest behind everything... :?
SOLVED! :)

Reiser4 does not work for me either. I get the same error telling me that only small keys are available.
Love4 works without any problem though.
