I saw that one other post mentions the ebuild for wmnetload bailing out asking for libxpm. The error message I get is Code: |
<snip>
checking for X... libraries /usr/X11R6/lib, headers /usr/X11R6/include
checking for dnet_ntoa in -ldnet... no
checking for dnet_ntoa in -ldnet_stub... no
checking for gethostbyname... yes
checking for connect... yes
checking for remove... yes
checking for shmat... yes
checking for IceConnectionNumber in -lICE... yes
checking for XpmCreatePixmapFromData in -lXpm... yes
checking for X11/xpm.h... no
Cannot find required libXpm headers.
!!! ERROR: The ebuild did not complete successfully.
!!! Function econf, Line 10, Exitcode 1
!!! econf failed
|
I have remerged xpm, but the ebuild still dies. I have also tried compiling the source from freshmeat and that dies too. Anyone have any ideas?? _________________ The answer |

I am having the same problem. I even tried using the all the various --includedir options that are listed in the INSTALL file during the config and it still fails.
I am running KDE but have succesfully installed other dockapps without any problems.
Please let me know if you get a solution. |

Just so that anyone else having this problem can find a solution, here is the post that ended up helping me. Not the prettiest fix, but it works. _________________ The answer |

This worked for me also, it looks harder to do than it really is. |
