How specifically?
What program will let me do it, to what disks do I mount, how do I bring up network? I really can't get a straight, definitive answer anywhere.
I have already installed gentoo a few times before and use it as an internet gateway right now |

You can use VMWare or Virtual PC and install Gentoo in that but it won't be as fast a "true" install due to the way they work. _________________ Postcount ++ |

There isn't one definitive answer to that question, that's probably why you can't get the answer you want.
As craftyc said, vmware or virtual pc will do the job... I've never used vmware under windows, but if it works anything like under linux, it creates a file that it uses for a harddisk virtually. It will be scsi inside of the virtual machine more than likely. |

#modprobe pcnet32
#dhcpcd eth0
#ifconfig
---
Use 'bridged networking' I believe |

with gentoo, it automatically detects that card on bootup and modprobes it automatically, also. all you have to do is ifconfig and route |

network is up, now for fdisking that virtual scsi hard drive it makes
fdisk /dev/sd(a-d) are not working, and I can't find any other solutions
I suppose I create the normal partitions it says to on the install doc on that disk
How will I have vmware load the virtual machine from my boot partition once I get there? |

Y'know, when people get stuck many here are happy to help, but how much effort have you made yourself? Have you read the vmware docs? If so, tell us which part didn't you understand and we'll help. If you haven't, start there.

Modprobe BusLogic
Modprobe mod_sd (I think) etc.
BusLogic is the important one.
