I keep hearing about people using openoffice 1.0 from ebuild but I can't find the ebuild anywhere... has anyone seen it? |

There is an ebuild available for the binary version of OO 1.0, but not (as far as I know) the source version.
Code: | /usr/portage/app-office/openoffice-bin/ |

the ebuild does exist, its just still masked for testing. if youre feeling brave just edit package.mask manually. |

I downloaded the installer from OpenOffice.org. Works great. Seems easy enough to uninstall as well.
So far I'm very happy with it.
BTW: if you do decide to install the binary from OpenOffice's site don't forget to read the setup instructions. |
