confused about cflags >< gcc 3.2

hi guys!

i want to reinstall my gentoo box with the new 1.4_rc1. now i read a lot
of topics and saw a lot of different cflags. when i got it right, the cflags
changed with gcc 3.2, too. can someone tell me where i can read about
the new ones (can't find em) or give me some tips which to use. i'm running a athlon (not xp) 1,4gh and my current cflags are:

CFLAGS="-march=i686 -O3 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer -malign-functions=4"
CXXFLAGS="$CFLAGS"

i already herad about using O2 instead of O3 with gcc 3.2 because of problems with compiling...
