ok, so I cant seem to get the raid running and need a hand.
I booted from the 1.2 CD, and have created the partitions on hda and hdc as follows (all are of type FD)
hda1/hdc1 --> 100MB (to be raid 1, both marked as bootable)
hda2/hdc2 --> 512MB (to be raid 0)
hda3/hdc3 --> 79GB (to be raid 0)
and I then created my raidtab as follows:
raiddev /dev/md0
raid-level 1
nr-raid-disks 2
chunk-size 64k
persistent-superblock 1
nr-spare-disks 0
device /dev/hda1
raid-disk 0
device /dev/hdc1
raid-disk 1
raiddev /dev/md1
raid-level 0
nr-raid-disks 2
chunk-size 64k
persistent-superblock 1
nr-spare-disks 0
device /dev/hda2
raid-disk 0
device /dev/hdc2
raid-disk 1
raiddev /dev/md3
raid-level 0
nr-raid-disks 2
chunk-size 64k
persistent-superblock 1
nr-spare-disks 0
device /dev/hda3
raid-disk 0
device /dev/hdc3
raid-disk 1
ok so then I did a modprobe md
then modprobe raid0 and modprobe raid1
up to this point all is good, then I tried raidstart /dev/md0 where I get the following:
[events: 00000140]
md: invalid raid superblock magic on ide/host0/bus0/target0/lun0/part1
md: ide/host0/bus0/target0/lun0/part1 has invalid sb, not importing!
md: could not import ide/host0/bus0/target0/lun0/part1!
md: autostart ide/host0/bus0/target0/lun0/part1 failed!
/dev/md0 Invalid argument
I get similar errors on md1 and md2....
am I missing a step here?
