hi folks!
i've finally managed to get my own gentoo up and running (with the 16M iso) and i think it's just GREAT! 8)
however i've got some problems with alsa 0.9: everytime i reboot my box i've got to do a "amix set Master 100 unmute" and a "amix set PCM 100 unmute" in order to be able to hear anything. is there a way to fix this other than adding these two lines to 'local.start'?

Make sure you have alsa-utils emerged. Then, use alsactl to store settings to /etc/asound.conf. (man alsactl for more info)
