first off, do you have latest portage?
emerge rsync
emerge portage
emerge kde

THANKS, I have been kicking my own butt for a week now trying to figure this problem out. On a lighter note, I have grown to love fluxbox even better now, but kde is still pretty looking enough for my wife to use _________________ ...on a cracker. |

IT WORKS!!!
so the solution posted on the bug report is good, a bit long but good....
You only have to emerge 2 different xfree
i had no pbs with that on my "good" computer (athlon tbird 1.4) but i'll wait a bit before trying it on my celeron 500 lol
thanks again for the solution... |
